Camping Fun

This weekend Roger, Cathy, Justin and I went camping up at Smith and Morehouse Dam. We stayed at the Ledgefork camp ground, and boy was it beautiful! We went up early Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday afternoon. It was a much needed mini vacation! The first night it was pretty freaking cold! I knew it would be a bit chilly but I wasn't expecting it to be that cold! And in June no less! We mostly just hung around and relaxed. We went on a few walks, ate a bunch of junk food, sat around and read and played games. It was nice! Roger and Cathy had to tease Justin and I about being so paranoid. We read the signs about being in bear country and were freaked out the whole time! LOL Now I have never really been fishing. I know crazy! I have been to the trout farm when I worked at the daycare and the fishing pond when I a girl scout but I have never really fished. So I bought a one day license, Roger brought a pole, and I learned how to fish. I even had to put the worm on the hook myself. Okay, that was yucky! I caught a really little guy first and I had to put him back, I felt bad. I know, its silly, but I really had some remorse. In the end I caught 2 that were edible. Every time I pulled one out I was screaming and laughing. Justin had to help me reel my first one in. I am pretty wimpy when it comes to touching slimy things. Well I cooked them both on the camp fire, but when it came time to eat it I hated picking out the bones and I didn't have any lemon, so the dog had a nice dinner. At least I know I can fish if I had to, and I had a lot of fun trying. I am just putting up my favorite pictures. I took a ton of the hummingbirds, they were incredible, they would come so close to you! I had never seen one so close up. This was Emma's first camping trip, she was very cute but definitely not a water dog, much to Roger's disappointment. It was an awesome weekend.
