Everyone gathered around the food
We had a blast on the 4th of July! We got to Justin's parents early enough to have breakfast and hang out. Then Sam, Justin and I went down and checked West Point Days. There wasn't a lot going on, the usual booths and food. Then we went to the store and got all our BBQ fixens. Then we came home and cooked up a storm. We had a veggie friendly array for us and the regular stuff for everyone else. Boca Burgers and real burgers, we had salads and pasta salads, corn on the cob and baked beans (veggie and regular), and watermelon of course. Sam's boyfriend Geoph and his band mate buddies Simon and Tyler joined us too. Then "the kids" had a fun water balloon fight! I was bummed I couldn't participate, but Justin is so cautious about me running around and doing crazy things when I pregnant. He is no fun! We hung out and talked, chilled in the back yard, and when it got dark we had an awesome fire in the pit complete with hot dogs, smores and guitar playing. Then we did a bunch of fun fireworks us and Sam had bought. Awesome fountains, bombs and other noisy things. When the "grown ups" went to bed and we all had a movie night complete with tons of pop corn. I feel like I just ate my way through the day. There was so much food and fun! I didn't want the day to end. And I couldn't believe as I thought throughout the day that by this time next year we will have a 6 month baby doing all this stuff with us! Pretty crazy to imagine. It was an all around fun time!
