When we saw the doctor for Henry's 4 month check-up he said he could start some stage one food. I couldn't believe it was time already, but the doctor said I alone could not keep up with his calorie intake. He was still nursing round the clock and never seemed satisfied. We were a little worried about introducing food too early and making him a fatty. But the doctor said not to worry about that and to give him what he wants. So we started rice cereal first. Henry really took to it. So we went to veggies, starting with green beans first. And that is when he really got the hang of the spoon. He makes the funniest sounds when he eats! He sure sounds happy, it is hilarious! And now he tries to grab the spoon from you if you don't go fast enough. He ate a whole jar yesterday! I am still nursing all the time. And Henry still eats at least twice a night (but he still sleeps in our room too, so its not so bad). So he is still packing on the pounds like crazy. We call him our little hungry bug!
