I was heading out today to go visit my sister and my mom, when this happened. I pull out of my apartment and on the road heading towards Main Street. For those of you who know my neighborhood you know I live right off Main, I was turning right by Big O Tires when I crashed. The road was a solid sheet of ice so I was going so slow. But my tires could get no traction on the ice, so I slid. I pumped, slammed, did everything I could and finally decided to just turn hard right to avoid the traffic. I could just imagine sliding onto Main Street traffic. So I slid right into a huge ice/snow bank in front of the stop sign. I was a little freaked, but really just stuck. The second I hit I screamed an expletive and hopped out to look at the damage. A guy pulled over and said I was stuck, then another guy pulled over, he almost slid into me, it was like an ice rink. When 4 guys couldn't move it I called Justin's dad, he was on his way so I told the nice guys I was fine and they could go. When I was waiting 5 more guys pulled over and rocked and pushed me loose. I was so thankful. I called Roger off, and just headed over so he could look at it. The damage is all the front bumper and nothing internal, thank God! So now I will have to go to my insurance tomorrow, get it looked at and take it to the shop. I blame stupid Clearfield city! I am complaining tomorrow that they never plow that street at all. Justin went by to see if I left any debris, and two cars had just slid into each other and crashed! Great Clearfield, way to keep the roads safe. What a way to start out the year. =( *Tear*Sunday, January 4, 2009
