This is a little activity I do every once in a while to just vent about the joys in life. Bare with me and enjoy...What Really Grinds My Gears-
1. You know what really grinds my gears? Some of you may have seen in the paper where a lady that used to work at the YCC is going out in the community and trying to "beef up" domestic violence response. She has made comments about how the 2 paid advocates in Weber county aren't enough and how there needs to be a more assistance out there. I went to her planning meeting and expressed my frustration. I am one of the 2, paid advocates in Weber and I think we do a pretty dang good job! Every officer call, every protective order, every case comes across my desk. I really hate to say this but if you see a problem with the way we do things why don't you come and volunteer. We are very well known in the community and have a very solid support system. I love my job and don't appreciate people going to the newspaper and exaggerating!
2. You know what really grinds my gears? When I have to have work done on both my bumper and my fender in a year. First I get a little hit and run and then I slide into a snow bank. So when my car is all nice and fixed I have to park it at work in our horrible lot with tiny spaces or on the street. Which really drives me crazy. But it really takes the cake when I come out to see someone backing out has scraped along my back side of my bumper and took a little paint with them. Thanks a freaking a lot! I didn't spend close to a thousand dollars this last year to keep my car looking decent so you can hit it and take off jerk!
3. You know what really grinds my gears? Co-workers. I work with a bunch of women who gossip and it gets pretty old when people are going around saying, "watch your back, I heard so and so was talking about you." Are we like 15?! Is this high school all over again? I am a professional, I am here to do my job, not chat with you about who doesn't do theirs! Coworkers really do drive me crazy! Catty and backstabbing!
