Week 38

So week 38 is upon us and I am feeling as big as an elephant! We went in Monday and saw Dr. Healy which went really well. He is a doctor that knows what I want and is willing to let me have it. I was surprisingly dilated to a 2 and 80% effaced. I asked if we could start right then and of course he said no, McKay Dee hospital won't let him start anyone before 39 weeks. So I was a little bummed but knew it was for the best. He did an ultrasound and Henry is 7 lbs 11 oz! I just knew I would be delivering an 8 pound baby! He is all tangled up in his cord all of a sudden but the doctor said not to worry, that happens a lot. So we decided I will go in Monday morning and see where I'm at and what his schedule is like and then set an induction from there. Probably somewhere between Tuesday and Friday. I would go to the hospital at night and hope I deliver early the next day. I was so relived that he said I could do it however I wanted and he sees no reason to make me wait if I don't want to. And he was able to answer a lot of my questions that no one knew before, so I am really at ease now. Then he asked what we were naming him. He had an app on his I-phone that showed popularity of baby names over the century. Apparently Henry hasn't been the most popular name since about 1887! So we had a good laugh about our old school name choice. So we are ready and waiting now! I'm not getting any more comfortable, my whole body is so sore, I am so ready to have this be over. And Justin and I can't wait to meet him! We went on what will probably be our last date for a while last night. We are big geeks so we went to the library in Salt Lake, we walked around, stayed for science movie night to see a movie and lecture on Super Volcanos and we got dinner at Cafe Rio. It was a lot of fun, and a relaxing night together. Now I'm just resting up for the big day. Wish me luck!
