Summer Movie Review

We are so excited that The Dark Knight is only 4 days away! We have a big group of us going down to Salt Lake to Jordan Commons to see it and we can't wait! I thought I would mention the other summer movies we have seen and if we liked them or not. (Keep in mind, we are pretty picky!)

We loved Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. is such a smart ass and so funny. It had just the right mix of action and story. This is a movie I could watch over and over again. I would recommend this one for sure.

Indian Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls was a big disappointment. I know I mentioned when we saw the movie how upset we were. We love classic Indian Jones and maybe we went in with our hopes a little too high. But we left scratching our heads. Harrison Ford has still got it, but Spielberg and Lucas, I'm not quite sure. Just stay at home and watch the classics.

The Incredible Hulk. I had to think about this movie for a while. At first I left the theater thinking it was pretty good. But it is one of those movies that the more you think about it the less sense it makes. It was definitely the best Hulk adaptation yet, and Edward Norton was believable, but I could have waited for this one to go to video.

Wanted is based off a very graphic, graphic novel with a far fetched story.(I read it, it was pretty stupid.) If you do see this movie turn your brain off. It was lots of fun dazzling action and a very "kick ass and take names" kind of movie, but lacking in a believable story. James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie did great with what they were given, but I would have liked a movie with a little more character. If you see this one, don't use your brain too much. I could have gone without.

So we can't wait to see Dark Night! I am sure my review of that won't be the least bit disappointing! =)
