16 Weeks!

I hate to report it, but the last 2 weeks have not been too great! =( We had one more trip to the ER on Sunday the 2ND. We were actually in the hospital still the next morning, which was our anniversary and had to go back to see another Urologist! So it was more pain killers, vomiting and crying my way through the night. At least this time they did the fetal heart rate monitor, that made me feel a lot better to know the baby was OK. But this time when I went home I felt remarkably better! Of course the doctor was skeptical and wanted me to come back the next day Tuesday to do a surgery to put a stint between my kidney and my bladder. But he did say the risk was high that I could go into preterm labor and "lose the fetus" as he put it. So I said no, give me another week to see what happens. It is so crazy how attached I already feel to this baby! It is incredible! My midwife tried to say they would monitor the fetal heart rate and I should worry about the long term health of my kidney. But I wanted one more chance. And since that day, (Monday), I haven't taken a single pain killer! I have an appointment Monday for possible surgery prep but I think the stones have really passed this time. So Monday is the urologist and Tuesday is my next ultrasound. I can't wait to see the baby again and find out for sure, boy or girl. Other then that whole mess, everything else has been OK. We finally went on our anniversary date this week. We got dinner, saw Funny People at the movies and even bowled! And last night, the baby made me eat a cheeseburger! Remind you I don't eat red meat or pork, haven't in almost 4 years! But I had this craving that would not go away! As you can tell, I didn't really like it much, but I'm pretty sure the baby did. LOL So that is all the excitement of week 16!
