So yesterday we went to Salt Lake and spent the whole day hanging out and doing fun stuff. We went to Ikea and did some shopping, lunch and I got my Swedish chocolate! Then we went to the Gateway where I FINALLY found a pair of maternity jeans at Pea in a Pod Maternity. I got them for half price and they should fit the rest of the time. Thank goodness!! We strolled the mall for a few and then headed over to the ESA. We were so excited to be seeing
Green Day! So, Justin has seen Green Day 3 other times in his life. They are his favorite (modern) band. I have always loved them, but have never seen them live surprisingly. So I was so excited for this show! We bought the tickets coincidentally just hours before I took my first pregnancy test. So in hindsight this was something we hadn't thought I would be pregnant for. So Justin of course had to call our doctor for assurance on the safety of the concert. His advice was, don't get too bumped around, or point your belly directly at a speaker and you should be OK. So I wasn't worried in the slightest. But most of the show Justin insisted on standing in front of me because we were on the floor and pretty close to the stage. There was a lot of pyrotechnics and loud sounds, so he wanted me to be so careful. Cute! The show was awesome! They had Franz Ferdinand open, they were very cool! I have to say, the best live show I have ever seen! We stood to the left of the stage by the stairs and the barricade and in the first song Billie Joe (the lead singer) came down in to the crowd and walked right by us! He was so close we could have reached out and touched him. (there is a very blurry picture of him as he walks up the stairs.) So that was pretty cool. And everyone was very chill and considerate of me everywhere I went. It was great! The pictures are pretty crummy because I had to sneak in our little old coolpix. They would have never allowed my big honking D60 in the arena! But I still got a few pictures and had an awesome time! We didn't get home till after 1 am and I never stay up that late anymore, so needless to say I was exhausted today and slept in forever! All the walking and standing gave me a killer backache and I was having crazy ligament/ growth pains in my hips and belly. So I defiantly won't be able to do that again anytime soon. But I'm glad we got to go while we still could. =)
